PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

alertura.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the name "Alertura" and poses as a legitimate service to win visitors' trust. MetaMask and SEAL have both blocklisted it, so its main targets are crypto wallet users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-09. As of 2026-10-19, the site is still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a real brand, or invent a convincing one like "Alertura", so that victims act without checking where they are. The usual goal is to get the visitor to type in login details or a wallet recovery phrase, or to connect a wallet and approve a transaction. Anything entered there goes to the operators. A recovery phrase gives full control of the wallet, and a signed approval can let them move tokens out without asking again.

Evidence

Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-17: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, but the wallet-specific sources agree with it. MetaMask and SEAL list the domain, and Spamhaus carries it in its DBL with a phishing tag. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers are tracking the same activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-10-03, six days before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap that short is typical of throwaway phishing domains that are put to use right away. Registration is through Cloudflare, Inc., and the site sits behind Cloudflare's network (AS13335, US), which hides the real origin server. Its TLS certificate from Google Trust Services means the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet created with a fresh phrase. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, check your token approvals with a revocation tool and cancel any you do not recognise. If you entered passwords, change them everywhere you reused them and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the proxy, and search logs for users who visited it since 2026-10-03.
