PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

abbaestategh.com is an impersonation phishing site that poses as a legitimate service so visitors will trust it with their account details. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-16. On 2026-10-19 the domain was still online, with its content reachable behind a protective gate.

How the scam works

Visitors first land on a page titled "Bot Verification". The page title shows a human-check screen, while PhishDestroy classified the site as impersonation phishing. Schemes of this type copy the look of a trusted brand and then ask for a login, recovery details or other sensitive input. Anything entered on the copied form goes to the operators, who can then take over the real account.

Evidence

Five of the 91 engines on VirusTotal marked the domain as malicious when it was scanned on 2026-09-30: alphaMountain.ai, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, so many browsers and filters will not warn users yet. Agreement among five unrelated vendors still supports the classification. The domain appears in six AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have been tracking it. PhishDestroy is so far the only blocklist listing it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NAMECHEAP INC on 2021-10-21, almost five years before it was detected. A name with that much history can pass reputation checks that brand-new domains often fail. The site is hosted on the Aquiryn LLC network in the United States at 23.153.104.17. Its Let's Encrypt certificate shows a padlock in the browser, which makes the page look safe even though it is not.

What to do

If you only saw the verification screen and left, close the tab and clear your browser history and cache. If you typed a password into anything on this site, change it on the real service right away. Change it as well on any other account that uses the same password, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. Check recent sign-ins and any linked email for activity you don't recognise. If you entered a recovery phrase or private key, treat it as compromised and move your assets to a newly created wallet. Defenders should block the domain and 23.153.104.17 at DNS and proxy level, and search logs for past visits.
