PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

trusthora.online is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as a financial brand called "Trusthora," with a homepage titled "Home - Trusthora." urlscan.io matched its layout to a generic banking template, so it targets people who expect an online bank or investment service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its content live.

How the scam works

Sites like this copy the look of a legitimate bank or financial platform so visitors trust them with logins, identity details and money. A victim may be asked to sign in, open an account or fund a balance, and everything entered goes straight to the operators. Stolen credentials can be reused against real accounts, and any deposit is lost. The neutral "Home - Trusthora" title gives no hint of fraud, which helps the page pass a quick glance.

Evidence

On 2026-09-18, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. These are independent vendors, so their agreement carries more weight than any single verdict. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameSilo, LLC on 2026-07-06, about two months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap is typical of phishing domains that are registered in advance and activated later. It resolves to 163.61.188.9 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network, geolocated to the US, and serves a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser therefore says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a username or password on trusthora.online, change it right away on every service where you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or bank details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. If you sent money as a deposit or a fee, report it to your bank and to local police, and refuse any further "fee" requests to release funds. Watch for follow-up phishing that uses the personal details you gave the site. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level and check logs for users who visited it.
