fortvet.cc presents itself as "Fortnite Rank & Locker Value Checker – Free Tool | Fortvet", a free utility for Fortnite players who want to know what their skins and rank are worth. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page that exploits the Fortnite brand to reach players and their accounts. We first flagged it on 2026-09-18. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Locker-value and rank-checker lures work because players are curious about what their cosmetics collection is worth. To produce a result, these pages typically ask the visitor to sign in with their game or platform account, or to hand over login details through a lookalike form. Anything typed there goes to the operators, not to Epic Games. A stolen Fortnite account can be stripped of its items, resold with its rare skins, or used to make purchases with any saved payment method.
Evidence
On 2026-10-02, 5 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a low count, but these are five unrelated vendors reaching the same verdict. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy currently lists it, so most browsers and filters may still load it without a warning.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-03-21 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly six months before we detected it. That gap suggests it was set up well in advance or ran quietly before drawing attention. It is hosted in Great Britain on the UFO Technologies Limited network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate only encrypts the connection, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site can be trusted.
What to do
If you entered your Epic Games or console credentials on fortvet.cc, change that password right away, along with any other account where you used the same password. Then turn on two-factor authentication in your Epic account settings and sign out all active sessions. Check your locker and purchase history for missing items or charges, and contact Epic Games support if anything changed. Security teams and parents managing family devices should block the domain and treat any "free locker value" tool that asks for a login as hostile.
