PhishDestroy threat report
claims-embercurve.fun is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Curve brand to advertise an "Ember Airdrop" claim. It targets Curve users and DeFi participants hoping to collect free tokens. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-14, one day after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the domain no longer resolves in DNS, so the page is offline for now.
The "Ember Airdrop" title and the "claims" prefix in the domain both point to a fake token-claim lure. Pages of this kind usually ask visitors to connect a wallet and approve a transaction or sign a message to receive the reward. That signature or approval can grant the operator permission to move tokens from the wallet, and those tokens are then drained. Nothing is ever airdropped, and any assets moved this way are typically unrecoverable.
Ten of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-16, including the crypto-focused ChainPatrol along with ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. Wallet-side protections block it as well: MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy. Spamhaus classifies it as DBL_PHISH, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several independent sources reached the same verdict.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-13 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED and was already live and detected a day later. That short gap fits a throwaway domain set up for one campaign. It ran behind Cloudflare, Inc., which masks the origin server, on an address geolocated to Canada, with a free Let's Encrypt certificate supplying the padlock.
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances you granted, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. Never enter a seed phrase on an airdrop page. Curve does not run claims on unrelated domains, so check announcements only through Curve's official channels. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar "claims" or "curve" lookalike domains.
