PhishDestroy threat report
chainlink.asia hosted a phishing page titled "Pump.fun Cashback" that impersonated the Pump.fun memecoin launchpad and targeted its traders. The domain name points to Chainlink while the page itself imitated Pump.fun, and PhishDestroy classified it as Pump.fun impersonation. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-11. The site has been offline since 2026-09-19, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
A "cashback" lure aims at people who have spent money trading on Pump.fun. It offers a refund or rebate on fees or losses, which feels plausible to anyone who has paid a lot to trade there. Pages like this usually ask the visitor to connect a wallet and sign a transaction or message to claim the money. That signature is the real payload. It can hand an attacker permission to move tokens or simply send assets out of the wallet. The victim gets no cashback and can lose whatever the signed request covered.
Four blocklists list the domain: PhishDestroy, MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL. MetaMask's listing matters because the wallet warns users before they connect to a listed site. On VirusTotal, 7 of 89 engines flagged it as of 2026-09-12: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but the crypto-specific listings from MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL directly support the classification.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-05 through Global Domain Group LLC, and PhishDestroy flagged it six days later. That short gap fits a disposable domain set up for one campaign. The site sat behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the real origin server. It ran for about two weeks before going dark on 2026-09-19.
If you connected a wallet or signed anything on this page, open a token-approval checker for your chain and revoke any permissions you do not recognise. If you signed something you cannot account for, move your remaining assets to a new wallet whose seed phrase has never touched a website. Never type a seed phrase or private key into any claim page. Pump.fun rewards should only be checked through its official interface. Defenders should block the domain and look in DNS and proxy logs for hits between 2026-09-05 and 2026-09-19 to find users who may have interacted with it.
