How the scam works
The page title, ASANTE STUDIOS | ASANTE STUDIOS, repeats the brand name to make the store look official. Fake shops like this one usually list products with heavy discounts and send traffic to a checkout page. Buyers who pay by card or bank transfer either get nothing or get a cheap item that does not match the order. The victim loses the purchase amount and also hands over a name, address, phone number and payment details, which can be reused for further fraud.
Evidence
On 2026-10-11, 8 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors were alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a minority of engines, but it is typical for young shop scams that copy ordinary retail pages. urlscan.io scored the site as malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-03-26, about six months before we detected it. That suggests it was either kept in reserve or ran unnoticed for a while. It resolves to 37.72.142.130 on a network operated by Malakmadze Web LLC, a company registered in Georgia, while the IP itself geolocates to the United States. A cheap .shop name with a brand-plus-keyword pattern like "asantestudiosstyle" is a common setup for disposable fake stores.
