PhishDestroy threat report
sitemv258gzk9bfx.cfd is an impersonation phishing page posing as Flare Network. It uses Flare's own tagline, "Flare: The blockchain for data," as its page title, so it looks like the official project to FLR holders and anyone interacting with the Flare ecosystem. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-10, the same day the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still live, but its DNS was no longer pointing to active content.
Pages that copy a blockchain project's branding usually wait for visitors who arrive from fake airdrop posts, staking offers or search ads. The visitor is asked to connect a wallet or verify an account. That step leads either to signing a transaction or token approval that hands control of assets to the attacker, or to typing a recovery phrase into a form. In both cases the loss is the same: tokens and NFTs leave the wallet, and recovery phrases give the attacker permanent access. The random string in the domain name and its .cfd ending have nothing to do with Flare, which is the easiest warning sign to spot.
On 2026-10-14, 18 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised the flarenetwork brand in its content, which confirms the impersonation. The domain is also on the MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy. The MetaMask listing means many wallet users get a warning before the page loads.
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-10-10 and flagged that same day. This fast turnaround is typical of disposable domains built for a short campaign. Traffic runs through Cloudflare, Inc. at an address geolocated to Canada, which hides where the page is actually hosted. Its Let's Encrypt certificate is free and issued automatically, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any approvals or permissions you granted, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised: create a new wallet with a new phrase and transfer everything out immediately. Reach Flare only through bookmarked official channels, and ignore airdrop or staking offers that arrive by direct message. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar randomly named .cfd domains using Flare branding.

An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.
The AI-assisted analysis was written on . It describes the evidence available at that time; later source checks can change.
A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
