karvelo.shop is an impersonation phishing site dressed as a discount web store under the title "Best Deals & Prices Online." It targets bargain hunters who reach it through ads, search results or shared links. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-13. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Impersonation shops borrow the look and trust of legitimate retailers and offer prices low enough to discourage second thoughts. At checkout, or at a login or account-creation step, the visitor enters card numbers, billing addresses, email and passwords. Those go straight to the operators. Orders typically never arrive, and stolen card data and credentials are reused or resold. The page title promises an ordinary deals store, while our classification places the site as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
Sixteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-09-21 check, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Google Safe Browsing. Google Safe Browsing classes it as social engineering, so many browsers will show a warning page. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as a phishing domain. Five AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. Several mainstream vendors reached the same verdict independently of PhishDestroy's own listing.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap, Inc. on 2026-07-01, about ten weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap is long enough to build a convincing storefront before attracting traffic. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. on a Canada-geolocated address, which hides the actual origin server. Its TLS certificate from Google Trust Services means the browser padlock appears, but the padlock only shows an encrypted connection and says nothing about whether the shop is honest.
What to do
If you paid on karvelo.shop, contact your card issuer immediately. Report the charge as fraud, request a chargeback, and have the card replaced. If you created an account or signed in, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. Expect follow-up phishing emails that reference your "order." Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, add it to mail and web filters, and report any remaining hosting or registrar presence for takedown.
