PhishDestroy threat report
arborcapital.digital is a fraudulent cryptocurrency exchange impersonating Orca, a legitimate trading brand, built to lure retail crypto traders into depositing funds they will never recover. It presents itself as an institutional-grade AI trading platform under the Arbor Capital name. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-08-28, and it remained fully live and serving malicious content as of 2026-10-19.
Fake exchange scams clone the look and credibility of established trading platforms to persuade victims to open accounts and send cryptocurrency. The page title "arbor capital | AI Trading Platform | Official Website" borrows authority from the Orca brand while the "Official Website" label is designed to suppress scepticism. Once a deposit lands, the platform typically fabricates trading profits to encourage larger transfers, then blocks withdrawals behind invented fees, taxes or compliance holds until the victim gives up. No deposited funds are ever returned. The page title promotes an AI trading platform while our classification is Fake Exchange; we note that discrepancy without further interpretation.
Seventeen of 89 engines on VirusTotal flagged this domain as malicious as of 2026-09-12, with confirmed detections from BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, CRDF, CyRadar, alphaMountain.ai and Chong Lua Dao. Five independent threat-intelligence pulses on OTX further corroborate the classification. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-06-21 through NETIM SAS, approximately two months before PhishDestroy detected it. It is hosted on infrastructure located in the Netherlands and secured with a ZeroSSL ECC DV SSL CA 2 certificate issued by ZeroSSL GmbH, a free automated certificate that provides encryption but no identity verification.
If you visited the site without submitting personal or financial information, avoid it entirely going forward. If you deposited cryptocurrency, treat those funds as lost and do not send further payments in response to any withdrawal fee or verification demands. Report the fraud to your national cybercrime authority and, if a card or bank transfer was involved, contact your financial institution immediately. Security teams should block the hosting IP 185.62.58.179 and add the domain to DNS and proxy blocklists.
For this gTLD, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.
