How the scam works
Fake shops like this copy a real brand's name, product line and look, then list items at prices low enough to make buyers act quickly. The page title repeats the A. Gallo Colors name to look like an official outlet for its handmade Italian watercolors. Shoppers who check out pay by card or another method and then receive nothing, or receive cheap goods unrelated to the order. The site also collects the buyer's name, delivery address, email and payment details, which can be reused for fraud or follow-up phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 9 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The detections came from vendors including alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. A scan on urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows that other researchers have tracked it independently. Detection coverage is still modest, so many browsers and security tools may not warn visitors.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-03-23 through Spaceship, Inc., roughly six months before PhishDestroy detected it. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia, a location unrelated to an Italian paint maker. The new domain, the "online.shop" variant of the brand name and the foreign hosting together fit a storefront set up to imitate the brand rather than one run by it.
What to do
If you ordered from this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and ask whether the card should be replaced. Keep any order confirmations and payment receipts to support the dispute. Treat emails or texts that mention your order or delivery with suspicion, because the scammers now have your contact details. If you reused a password to create an account there, change it everywhere you used it. Defenders should block the domain, add it to web filters and report it to the payment processors involved and to the real A. Gallo Colors brand.
