PhishDestroy threat report
wt-swift-global-pay.vip presented itself as "WT Global Financial". It was a fake financial institution whose domain name leans on the vocabulary of international bank transfers, combining "swift", "global" and "pay". It targeted people expecting a cross-border payment or managing funds through what looked like a legitimate bank portal. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. The site has been offline since 2026-09-29, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Fake banking portals like this one copy the look of a real financial institution, using a corporate name such as "WT Global Financial", a home page and account-style menus. They then steer the visitor into one of two traps. In the first, the visitor types online-banking or account credentials into a login form that sends them straight to the operators. In the second, the visitor is shown a transfer that is supposedly "pending" or "held" and is told to pay a clearance, compliance or release fee to unlock it. Either way, the victim gives away account access or money for a transfer that never existed.
On 2026-09-20, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as harmful, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Gridinsoft. That is solid agreement among established vendors for a site that had been online for only about ten days. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and matched the page to generic banking branding, which is consistent with a counterfeit bank front rather than a copy of one specific brand. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-10, and PhishDestroy detected it the next day. That gap means it was put to use almost immediately after purchase, a pattern typical of short-lived fraud sites. It was hosted on the PONYNET network of FranTech Solutions, with the server located in Germany. The whole operation lasted under three weeks before going dark.
If you entered banking or account credentials on this site, change that password now and enable two-factor authentication. Then contact your bank so it can watch for or block unauthorized transfers. If you paid any "fee" to release a transfer, report it to your bank or payment provider right away and ask about a recall, and file a report with local police or your national fraud center. Do not pay again to anyone who promises to recover the money. Defenders should block the domain, check proxy and mail logs for earlier visits, and warn staff about payment-themed lookalike domains on unusual TLDs such as .vip.
