PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

webxcz.com presents itself under the name WEB3.AI, a crypto-flavoured brand meant to look like a legitimate Web3 or AI-trading service. It targets cryptocurrency holders who arrive expecting a genuine platform. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its scam content, so it remains a live risk.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites like this borrow a familiar name, here WEB3.AI, to win trust before asking for something valuable. Visitors are typically pushed to connect a wallet, enter a recovery phrase, or deposit crypto into what looks like an account, trading bot or reward program. Once a wallet signs a malicious request or a seed phrase is typed in, the operators can move the assets, and deposits sent to the platform do not come back. urlscan.io tagged the page as a crypto scam, which fits this pattern of luring people into handing over funds or wallet control.

Evidence

Eleven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-25, including Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai. That count is moderate, but the independent sources agree. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, and it appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy. The wallet-focused lists matter most here, because they warn users at the moment they try to connect. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. on 2026-07-03, about ten weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the domain was held in reserve or used quietly before it drew attention. Traffic is fronted by Cloudflare's network, with the visible address in Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a proxy, that address reflects Cloudflare's edge rather than where the scam is actually hosted.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to webxcz.com, revoke any token approvals it obtained using a reputable approval checker, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you typed a seed phrase or private key anywhere on the site, treat that wallet as fully compromised and transfer everything out immediately. Do not send further deposits or pay any "unlock" or withdrawal fee to recover money already sent. Report the theft to your wallet provider and local authorities, and keep transaction hashes as records. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, watch for similar WEB3.AI lookalikes, and alert users who may have visited.
