PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

webcoinpro.com is an impersonation phishing site whose pages carry the title "WEB3.AI". It dresses itself up as a Web3 or AI-branded crypto platform, aimed at people who hold digital assets and use browser wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online and serving its scam content.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites like this borrow a credible-sounding crypto brand, here "WEB3.AI", so visitors trust the page enough to act on it. Typically the victim is asked to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, deposit funds into a supposed platform, or hand over login details and recovery phrases. Any of these can give the operators control of the victim's assets. urlscan.io tagged the page as a crypto scam, which fits a lure designed to move money or wallet access out of the visitor's hands. The domain name itself has no visible tie to the WEB3.AI branding, so the site borrows the identity entirely through the page.

Evidence

Eleven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain by 2026-09-25. Among them were Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. Wallet-focused blocklists from MetaMask and SEAL also carry it, alongside PhishDestroy, so many MetaMask users should already see a warning. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, which shows other researchers have tied it to malicious activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-15, the same day PhishDestroy detected it. That suggests it went live as a scam almost immediately rather than aging quietly first. Registration runs through Cloudflare, Inc., and the site sits behind Cloudflare's network with a Canadian IP location. That proxy hides the true origin server, which is why takedown requests need to go through the provider's abuse channel.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, review and revoke its token approvals and signed permissions right away. If you entered a seed phrase, move remaining assets to a newly created wallet, because the old one should be treated as compromised. If you sent a deposit, do not pay any further "fees" or "unlock" charges the site demands. Record the transaction hashes and report them to your wallet provider and local authorities. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and send abuse reports to Cloudflare.
