PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

visaobraganca.top is an impersonation phishing domain that posed as Amazon to target shoppers and account holders. Its name, apparently Portuguese, has no connection to Amazon. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, and it went offline the next day, 2026-09-16. As of 2026-10-19 the domain no longer resolves in DNS.

How the scam works

Amazon impersonation pages copy the retailer's sign-in or checkout screens and arrive through fake order alerts, delivery problems or account-lock warnings. Anyone who enters an email, password, one-time code or card number hands it to the operators, who can then take over the account, place orders with stored payment methods or reuse the card elsewhere. When we checked, the page title read "403 Forbidden", while scanners still identified Amazon branding and we classified the site as Amazon impersonation.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the site malicious and detected Amazon as the impersonated brand, which independently matches our classification. On VirusTotal, 4 of 89 engines flagged it on 2026-09-15: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, typical for a domain caught within days of going live, before most vendors had catalogued it. PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-17 through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com, 29 days before we detected it. The site ran for roughly a day after detection. That short window fits a disposable domain registered for a single campaign. It sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. on a Canadian-located address, so the IP belongs to Cloudflare's network and does not reveal the operator's actual server.

What to do

If you entered Amazon credentials on this site, change your Amazon password right away, along with any other account that shares it. Enable two-step verification, then review your order history, saved addresses and payment methods for anything you did not add. If you typed a card number, call your bank to block the card and dispute unfamiliar charges. Treat any email or text that sent you here as phishing and report it to Amazon. Defenders should block the domain and search mail and proxy logs from 2026-09-15 to 2026-09-16 for users who reached it.
