PhishDestroy threat report
videoconfrencemeeting.online is an impersonation phishing domain built around a misspelled "video conference meeting" name, designed to look like an ordinary call invite. Its listing by MetaMask and SEAL indicates that crypto holders and wallet users are the intended audience. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-18. The site has been offline since 2026-09-08, and its DNS was still inactive when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake meeting domains usually reach victims through a direct message or email inviting them to a call, often framed as an interview, partnership or investor pitch. The link then claims the meeting software needs a login, an update or a special client before the victim can join. Depending on the setup, victims hand over account credentials, connect a wallet, or install a program that steals saved passwords, browser sessions and wallet data. When last captured, the page showed only a bare "Index of /" directory listing rather than a meeting interface, while we classify the domain as impersonation phishing.
Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-08-27: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That count is modest, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. The MetaMask and SEAL blocklists also carry the domain, which ties it to crypto-focused threats. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it as well, so other researchers have tracked it independently.
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. and hosted at 198.54.116.197 on Namecheap's own network in the US, so registration and hosting sat with a single provider. Its TLS certificate came from SSL.com. The padlock only shows that the connection was encrypted and says nothing about whether the site was legitimate. The site went dark about three weeks after PhishDestroy first saw it, which fits the short lifespan typical of throwaway lure domains.
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately along with any account that reuses it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you downloaded or ran anything it offered, treat the device as compromised. Move funds to a new wallet created on a clean machine, then reinstall the system or have it checked before you sign in to anything again. If you connected a wallet, revoke the approvals it granted with a token-approval checker. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, and warn staff and community members that unsolicited meeting links with misspelled domains are a common crypto-theft lure.
