PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

usdtreport.pro is a phishing page that trades on the Tether name to reach people holding USDT, presenting itself in Russian as a service for analysing digital assets and blockchain transactions. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-13. It went offline on 2026-09-14, and by 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer resolved.

How the scam works

The page title, which translates as "Analysis of digital assets and blockchain transactions", promises a USDT "report" on a wallet or transfer. This kind of offer is a common lure. A holder worried about tainted or flagged funds is asked to connect a wallet, sign a request, enter a recovery phrase or pay a fee for the check, and any of these can hand over the funds. The title describes a neutral analytics tool, while our classification is Tether impersonation, based on how the site borrows the brand to look official.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the site malicious and recognised Tether branding on the page, which independently confirms the impersonation. ScamSniffer, a crypto-focused blocklist, lists the domain alongside PhishDestroy. VirusTotal coverage was thin: on 2026-09-14 only Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Gridinsoft out of 89 engines flagged it. That gap is typical for a site that lived only a few days. Four AlienVault OTX pulses reference the domain, so other researchers were tracking it as well.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-05 through PDR Ltd. (PublicDomainRegistry.com). It drew detection eight days later and was gone the day after, a short lifespan that fits a disposable phishing domain. It sat behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, so the origin server was not exposed. Its certificate came from Google Trust Services, and the padlock it produced says nothing about whether the site was legitimate.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to usdtreport.pro or signed anything there, check your token approvals with a revocation tool and cancel any you do not recognise. If you typed in a recovery phrase, treat the wallet as compromised and move your remaining assets to a newly created wallet straight away. If you paid a fee for a "report", keep the transaction hash and report it to the exchange or wallet service you paid from. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike USDT-checking sites that appear on newly registered domains.
