PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

unbantooltrade.com poses as a trading service called UnbanTool and advertises guaranteed daily income to visitors. Its headline quotes earnings in Malaysian ringgit, which points to users in Malaysia as the intended audience. PhishDestroy first flagged the site on 2026-10-08. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page title promises "Earn over 4617 MYR DAILY from trades on UnbanTool." A fixed, oddly precise daily figure is a typical hook for fake trading schemes. Victims are pushed to register, hand over personal details and deposit funds into an account that shows fabricated profits. When they try to withdraw, the operators usually demand extra "fees," "taxes" or "unlock" payments, and none of the money comes back. The title advertises trading returns, and we classified the site as impersonation of the UnbanTool brand, which is the name it uses to look credible.

Evidence

On 2026-10-08, VirusTotal showed 14 of 92 security engines marking the domain as malicious. The engines that flagged it include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft, a mix of established antivirus firms and reputation services. Spamhaus also lists the domain on its DBL as spam, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Taken together, these independent sources support our classification even though the domain is not yet widely blocked.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-06-20, roughly 110 days before we detected it. That gap suggests the operators held the domain for a while or ran it quietly before it drew attention. The site is hosted in the Netherlands on the Omegatech LTD network. It uses a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not deposit money or pay any "withdrawal fee" or "verification" charge, because payments made after the first deposit are almost never recovered. If you already sent funds, contact your bank or payment provider immediately and file a report with the police and Bank Negara Malaysia. Keep screenshots of the account and any chats with the operators. If you shared ID documents or login details, change any reused passwords, enable two-factor authentication and watch for identity misuse. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting address, and they should treat follow-up messages that reference UnbanTool as part of the same campaign.
