surgewingate.online is an impersonation phishing site. It presents itself as a legitimate service so that crypto users trust it with their credentials, personal details or money. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-08-30. When we last checked it on 2026-10-19, it was still online and served content behind access protection.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the name, look and wording of a service people already trust, then wait for victims who arrive through ads, direct messages or search results. A visitor who believes the page is genuine may type in a password or recovery details, upload identity documents, or send funds to an address the operators control. Whatever is entered goes straight to the scammers. Visitors currently see a page titled "403 Forbidden" even though we classify the domain as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-09-12, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-phishing group Chong Lua Dao. Because these vendors work independently, their agreement makes a false positive unlikely. Spamhaus DBL lists the domain in its spam category, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. PhishDestroy carries it on its own blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-05-10 through PDR Ltd. (PublicDomainRegistry.com), about 112 days before we first detected it. That gap suggests it was registered in advance and held until it was needed, rather than spun up for a single quick campaign. It resolves to 104.194.11.190, an address hosted in the United States.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it at once on the real service and on any other account that reuses it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you sent funds or handed over identity documents, report it to the service being impersonated and to your local police, and keep your transaction IDs and screenshots. Watch for follow-up messages that offer to recover your money, because these often come from the same scammers. Defenders should block surgewingate.online at the DNS and proxy level and search their logs for any past connections to 104.194.11.190.
