solspend.xyz presented itself as "SOLCARD — Premium Card for Solana", a crypto spending card for Solana users, and PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page. It was aimed at Solana holders looking to spend their tokens through a card product. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-14, and it went offline the next day, 2026-09-15. As of 2026-10-19 its DNS is inactive and the site is dead.
How the scam works
Fake crypto card sites use a familiar product pitch, such as premium tiers, cashback or instant top-ups, to get visitors to act. The usual next step is an "order" or "activation" that asks the victim to connect a Solana wallet and approve a transaction, or to send SOL as an issuance or deposit fee. Either way the victim never receives a card. Whatever is signed or sent goes to the operators, and wallet-based versions can empty a wallet in one approval.
Evidence
Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-09-16: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, but it is typical for a site that lasted only about a day. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists in addition to PhishDestroy's own. Wallet-focused lists like these protect users at the moment they try to connect. Four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it, so other researchers tracked it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-12 through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com, two days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a fast campaign. Traffic was served through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which places the real origin server behind a proxy. Its life was very short: three days from registration to going offline.
What to do
If you connected a Solana wallet to this site, review and revoke any delegations or approvals you granted. Then move remaining funds to a fresh wallet with a new seed phrase, especially if you typed your recovery phrase anywhere on the page. If you paid a "card fee" or deposit, record the transaction signatures and report them to the exchange you sent from. Do not send more money to anyone promising a refund. Defenders should block the domain, watch for lookalike SOLCARD or Solana card domains appearing on fresh registrations, and share indicators with the SEAL and MetaMask blocklist maintainers.
