sol-spin2026.sbs was a phishing page that borrowed the Solana name under the title "SOLANA SPIN" to lure SOL holders with a prize-wheel game. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-17, four days after the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-09-19 and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Spin-style lures like this one show a wheel that always lands on a big SOL win, then tell the visitor to connect a wallet to "claim" the prize. The claim step is the theft. The victim is asked to approve a transaction or permission that hands control of their tokens to the attacker, or to type in a recovery phrase on a fake verification screen. Either way, the wallet can be emptied within minutes, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.

Seven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-09-17: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, LevelBlue and Webroot. That is modest coverage. The listings that matter most for crypto users are stronger, because MetaMask and SEAL both blocklist the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections would see a warning. Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-13 through Global Domain Group LLC on the low-cost .sbs extension, and it was caught within four days. It stopped resolving two days after that, a short lifespan typical of disposable campaign domains. Traffic was routed through Cloudflare, Inc. with a Canadian location. Because Cloudflare acts as a proxy, that address reflects Cloudflare's network rather than the server that actually hosted the page.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to sol-spin2026.sbs, open a token-approval revoker for Solana and cancel any permissions you do not recognise. Then move the remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised: create a new wallet with a new phrase and transfer everything out immediately. Real Solana projects never require a seed phrase or a signature to collect a prize. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike "sol-spin" registrations on cheap extensions, since this naming pattern is easy to repeat.
