sms-group.live is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as SMS group GmbH under the title "Leading partner in the world of metals - SMS group GmbH". It borrows the company's name and its industrial branding to win the trust of people who deal with the firm, such as customers, suppliers and job applicants. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-24, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Lookalike sites of industrial manufacturers usually support business fraud rather than crypto theft. The fake site is given a domain name close enough to the real company's that an email or message pointing to it looks legitimate. Typical goals are fake purchase orders and tenders, invoices with changed bank details, bogus recruitment offers that ask for personal documents or fees, and login pages that capture corporate credentials. A victim can lose money paid to the attacker's account, along with identity documents or account access.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, 15 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft, so the verdict is shared across several unrelated security vendors. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers are tracking it. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist listing it.

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-08-08, about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. The gap suggests it was set up in advance before being put to use. Its traffic runs through Cloudflare, Inc. (geolocated to CA), which hides the server that actually hosts the content.
