How the scam works
Pages that impersonate DeFi protocols copy the real app's branding so that visitors trust the interface and click "Connect Wallet". The danger comes after the connection. The page prompts the victim to approve token spending or sign a message that looks like a routine claim or deposit, but it actually authorizes the operator to move the victim's assets. Once that approval or signature is given, the attacker can empty the approved tokens without any further action from the victim. With a yield protocol like Pendle, the lure is often a fake reward, boosted yield or position migration.
