sir-frotscher.github.io was a phishing page posing as Netflix, with the browser tab simply reading "Netflix" to pass a quick glance from someone who followed a link. How the scam works
Netflix lures usually arrive as an email or text about a failed payment, a suspended account or a membership needing confirmation, with a link to a page styled like the real sign-in screen. Anything typed there goes to the operator, not Netflix. Pages like this commonly collect the email and password first, then ask for card details to "restore" the account. That exposes the victim to account takeover, card fraud and the reuse of the same password on other services.

13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address on 2026-09-11. Among them were BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai, a spread of independent vendors rather than one outlier. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically detected the Netflix brand on the page. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The page sat on a personal subdomain of GitHub Pages. The 2013-03-08 registration and the MarkMonitor, Inc. registrar belong to the github.io parent domain, so they say nothing about when the attacker set up shop. Traffic was delivered through Fastly, Inc. infrastructure in the US, the content network behind GitHub Pages. Free hosting like this lets a phishing page inherit a trusted-looking address and be launched or abandoned within hours.
What to do
If you entered your Netflix login on this page, change your Netflix password immediately, sign out of all devices from your account settings, and change the password on any other service where you reused it. If you supplied card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute unfamiliar charges.
