PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

rolex5.com is a phishing site that impersonates Amazon. It presents itself under the page title "Amazon" and targets Amazon customers. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-17. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content. The domain name itself refers to Rolex rather than Amazon, while the page carries Amazon branding.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the look of a trusted brand's sign-in or checkout flow so visitors believe they are on the real Amazon site. Victims usually arrive through links in emails, text messages or ads that warn of an order problem, a locked account or a prize. The page then asks for an Amazon email and password, and often for card numbers, billing addresses or one-time codes. Anything entered goes straight to the operators. That can lead to account takeover, fraudulent purchases on saved payment methods and reuse of the stolen credentials on other services.

Evidence

On VirusTotal, 5 of 92 engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-10-17: BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, G-Data and Seclookup. That detection rate is still low, so many security products may not yet warn users who open the site. Spamhaus lists the domain in its Domain Block List as DBL_PHISH, which independently classifies it as phishing. PhishDestroy also carries it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-03 through NameSilo, LLC, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolves to 188.114.96.3 on the Cloudflare network (CLOUDFLARENET - Cloudflare, Inc.) in the United States, so the origin server sits behind Cloudflare's proxy. Its TLS certificate was issued by Google Trust Services (WE1). The padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

Do not enter anything on rolex5.com, and close it if it is open. If you typed in an Amazon password, change it right away from the official Amazon app or by typing the address yourself, then turn on two-step verification. Change the same password anywhere else you used it. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and review recent charges, and check your Amazon order history and saved addresses for changes. Defenders should block the domain at DNS, proxy and email gateways and search mail logs for messages linking to it. Abuse reports to Cloudflare and NameSilo can help get the site taken down.
