Overview

rb88-yahoo.com.cn is an impersonation phishing site that puts the Yahoo name into its domain to borrow the brand's credibility. It addresses a Chinese-speaking audience under a .com.cn address. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-09, and it was still online and serving content as of 2026-10-19. The page title reads "RB88·(中国区)官方网站" ("RB88 (China region) official website"), which presents an RB88 brand, while we classify the site as Yahoo impersonation based on its domain.

How the scam works

Impersonation phishing works by pairing a familiar brand with an official-looking page. Visitors assume they are on a legitimate, endorsed service. Once that trust is established, these sites typically ask for account logins, personal details or payments, and whatever is entered goes straight to the operators. Here the combination of "yahoo" in the address and an "official website" title is designed to make the page look sanctioned. Victims risk losing account access, identity data and any money they send.

It resolves to 23.235.150.14 on the Power Line Datacenter network (POWERLINE-AS-AP) in Hong Kong. Hosting outside mainland China while using a Chinese domain name is a common pattern for sites aimed at Chinese users.
