How the scam works
Pages like this borrow a trusted brand and frame the visit as a security step, such as verifying, protecting or migrating your account before something goes wrong. The victim is then pushed to connect a wallet and sign whatever the page requests, or to type in a recovery phrase. A signed approval or a revealed seed phrase gives the operator direct control over the tokens and SOL in that wallet, and stolen funds are effectively unrecoverable. Pump.fun never asks users to "secure" anything on a separate domain.
Evidence
On 2026-10-11, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That count is modest, but it comes from unrelated vendors that reached the same verdict. Wallet-focused defenders agree: MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL all list it alongside PhishDestroy.
