Overview

play.mori.casino is an online casino operating under the mori.casino name, which PhishDestroy classifies as a fraudulent gambling site. It targets players who want to deposit money, often crypto, and gamble online. We first detected it on 2026-08-17. As of 2026-10-19 it was still online and reachable, with its content shielded behind a protection layer.

How the scam works

Fraudulent casinos of this kind usually let players register and deposit easily, then credit balances and bonuses that look like real winnings. Trouble starts at withdrawal, when the site freezes the account, adds wagering requirements, or demands a verification, tax or unlock fee before releasing funds. Paying those fees rarely leads to a payout, and the player loses both the original deposits and any extra charges. When we checked, the page title read "Just a moment...", a browser-check screen rather than casino content, while our classification is based on the gambling operation behind it.

Evidence

Four of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-30: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, so many browsers and security tools will not warn visitors yet. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist on record listing the domain. The detections that exist come from several independent vendors, which supports our classification.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-07-17 through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com, about thirteen months before we detected it. That gap points to a site that operated for some time without being flagged, not a throwaway domain. Traffic runs through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is hidden from visitors. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the padlock in the address bar, but it says nothing about whether the operator is legitimate.

What to do

If you deposited money here, stop sending funds and do not pay any fee, tax or verification charge promised to unlock a withdrawal. Save screenshots of your balance, transaction IDs and any support chats. Report card or bank payments to your provider to try a chargeback, and report crypto transfers to the exchange you sent them from. If you reused a password on this site, change it elsewhere and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar mori.casino subdomains appearing in their logs.
