How the scam works
The page title reads like an inbox alert rather than naming the brand being imitated, which differs from the impersonation we classified. Fake notifications like this work by creating urgency. The visitor believes a payout, account warning or support reply is waiting and clicks through to a look-alike login or wallet screen. Anything entered there goes straight to the operators, whether it is an email and password, a 2FA code or a wallet recovery phrase. Mining-themed versions of this scheme typically end with drained exchange or wallet balances, or with demands for a "fee" to unlock fake earnings.
Evidence
Detection is still thin. On 2026-10-03, VirusTotal showed 6 of 91 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That small but varied set means many security products will still let the site through. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as a spam domain, which suggests it is being pushed through unsolicited messages. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist.
