PhishDestroy threat report
omg-onion.icu is an impersonation phishing page whose name borrows the "omg" and "onion" labels used to advertise Tor hidden-service mirrors. It targets people searching for a clearnet doorway to that kind of site. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site went offline that same day and still served nothing harmful when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Look-alike mirror domains catch users who cannot reach a hidden service directly and search the open web for a working link. The copy imitates the genuine login and account pages, so anything typed there goes to the operator. That can include usernames, passwords, recovery phrases or PINs. If the copied site handles balances, the copy may also show fake deposit addresses, and payments sent there are lost. The page title was simply the domain name, so it gave visitors no hint of what was being copied.
Independent detection is thin. On 2026-09-28, 3 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. It appears in 2 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to tracked activity. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy lists it, so most browser and DNS filters would not have warned a visitor.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2025-12-03, nearly ten months before it surfaced as a phishing page. A domain held that long before use suggests it was registered in advance and kept in reserve. It resolved to 213.199.63.58, a Contabo GmbH server in France. That is an inexpensive rented virtual server that is quick to set up and quick to abandon.
If you logged in through omg-onion.icu, change that password right away, along with any other account that uses it, and turn on two-factor authentication where it is offered. Treat any recovery phrase or PIN you entered as compromised and move funds to a newly created wallet. Do not send money to any deposit address the page showed you. Only reach the real service through an address you have verified yourself, never through search results. Defenders should block the domain and 213.199.63.58 and check DNS and proxy logs for earlier visits.
The linked repository preserves daily zone observations across seven ShortDot-operated TLDs, including registration volume and abuse-related indicators. This registry context is supporting background and is not an independent detection for the domain in this report.
For this gTLD, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.
RAA §3.18 establishes abuse-contact and handling requirements. This report can document stored outbound notices and later technical observations; it does not by itself establish receipt, investigation, remediation, or contractual non-compliance.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.
