officialonsol.lol is an impersonation phishing page. Its name claims to be the "official" home of an "onsol" project, and it targets crypto wallet users who trust that label. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-11, two days after registration. The site has been offline since 2026-09-13, and on 2026-10-19 its DNS was still inactive.
How the scam works
Impersonation sites copy the look and wording of a real project so visitors believe they are on the genuine page. They then ask visitors to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or enter a recovery phrase. A signature or approval granted there can let the operator move tokens out of the wallet, and a typed seed phrase hands over the whole wallet. The page title read "Just a moment...", a browser-check interstitial, rather than branded content, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-09-13: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest but comes from unrelated vendors. More telling, the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, so crypto-focused defenders reached the same verdict independently. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-09 and was being flagged within 48 hours. It went dark four days after registration. That short, cheap lifespan on a .lol name is typical of throwaway phishing domains. Traffic ran through Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the real origin server.
What to do
If you connected a wallet or signed anything on officialonsol.lol, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-checker, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer assets out immediately. Reach the project you meant to visit only through its verified social accounts or documentation. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, hunt logs for visits between 2026-09-09 and 2026-09-13, and watch for new look-alike names using the same "official" pattern.
