PhishDestroy threat report
meet-google.global is an impersonation phishing site built to pass as Google, with a domain name that mimics a Google Meet invitation link. Its page carried the Russian title "Проверка доступа" ("Access check"), so it targeted visitors expecting to join a video call. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-12. The site has been offline since 2026-09-07, and on the latest check (2026-10-19) its domain no longer resolved in DNS.
Fake meeting lures usually start with an invitation sent over chat, email or social media to what looks like a routine Google Meet call. Instead of a meeting room, the victim gets an "access check" screen that asks them to verify who they are, which in schemes like this means a Google sign-in prompt or a request to run a supposed fix before joining. Victims can lose their Google account credentials and anything tied to that account. Its presence on MetaMask and SEAL blocklists shows it was also tracked as a threat to crypto users, who are common targets of fake-call setups.
On 2026-08-23, six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, which is typical for a short-lived lure page, but blocklisting by MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy carries more weight from crypto-focused defenders. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-11, one day before PhishDestroy detected it. That pattern fits a domain set up for a single campaign. It was registered through PDR Ltd. (PublicDomainRegistry.com) and hosted on RouterHosting LLC's network, with the server located in the Netherlands. The Let's Encrypt certificate supplied the padlock that made the fake invitation page look trustworthy.
If you signed in on this page, change your Google password right away. Then turn on or reset two-step verification and sign out of all unfamiliar sessions in your Google security settings. If the page persuaded you to download or run anything, disconnect the device and scan it fully, and if you use a crypto wallet on that machine, move your funds to a wallet created on a clean device. Treat unexpected meeting links that do not point to Google's own domain as suspicious. Defenders should block the domain and search mail and chat logs for invitations that pointed to it.
