martdance.live presents itself as "Mart Dance – Marco Auggiero Research Theater," borrowing the name and identity of a performing-arts project to look legitimate. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page that targets people who expect to deal with that theater. We first flagged it on 2026-09-24, and it was still online and serving content when last checked on 2026-10-19. The page title shows an arts and theater site, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a real organization so visitors lower their guard. A visitor who arrives at a convincing "Mart Dance" page, whether through a link, an ad or a message, may be asked to sign in, register, buy tickets or submit contact and payment details. Whatever goes into those forms goes to the operators. Victims can lose account credentials, personal information and card or bank data, and stolen logins are often reused against email and other services.
Evidence
Fifteen of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-02. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. That is a meaningful minority from several independent vendors, not a single outlier verdict. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. PhishDestroy lists it on our own blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-07-26, about two months before we detected it. That gap fits a site that was set up and staged before it was put to use. Traffic passes through Cloudflare's network, with the visible address placed in Canada, so the server that actually hosts the content stays hidden behind the proxy. The certificate from Google Trust Services only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered a password on martdance.live, change it right away, and also change it on any other account that uses the same password. Turn on two-factor authentication wherever you can. If you entered card or bank details, call your bank, ask them to block or reissue the card, and dispute any charges you do not recognize. Watch for follow-up emails or calls that mention Mart Dance, because your contact details may now be in the operators' hands. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and the web proxy, search their logs for past visits and form submissions, and report it to Cloudflare and Dynadot so it can be taken down.
