Overview

kultapaaomaai.net presents itself as "Kultapääoma AI", a Finnish-language name that roughly translates to "gold capital AI". It sits on the PhishDestroy blocklist, which we first logged on 2026-10-08. No specific scheme has been assigned to it yet. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still live, and instead of serving its own page it redirected visitors elsewhere.

How the scam works

The "Kultapääoma AI" branding combines money and artificial intelligence, the pairing typically used to promise automated, effortless returns. That name, together with the detections below, is the reason for caution. We have not confirmed what the site asks visitors to do. Because it redirects, visitors may land on a page they did not expect. Treat any request there for a deposit, an account sign-up, ID documents or card details as high-risk.

Evidence

13 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when checked on 2026-10-08. That is a minority of engines, but a meaningful one for a site this new, and it spans several independent vendors: ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar, DNS8 and Gridinsoft. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have independently tied it to suspicious activity.

Infrastructure
