PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

kathmanduhealing.org is an impersonation phishing page in the PhishDestroy blocklist, built to pass itself off as someone it is not and collect what visitors hand over. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-23. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving live content, so it remains a current risk. The page presents itself as "Home - KathmanduHealing," a wellness-style homepage, while our classification for the domain is impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the look, name or tone of a familiar organisation so visitors lower their guard. Once trust is established, the page steers people toward a login prompt, a contact or booking form, a payment step, or in crypto-themed variants a wallet recovery request. Anything typed there, including passwords, card numbers, personal details or a seed phrase, goes straight to the operators, who can then take over accounts or empty funds.

Evidence

Fifteen of 91 security engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain as of 2026-10-02. The vendors include ESET, Kaspersky, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar, ADMINUSLabs and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. These are independent detection teams reaching the same verdict, not a single source repeated. The domain also appears in 32 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows that researchers have tracked it repeatedly. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2007-09-12 through eNom, LLC, almost nineteen years before PhishDestroy flagged it. That long history matters because filters that distrust newly registered domains give an old name like this a clean pass. The site is hosted on the Webhosting Holdings LLC network in the Netherlands and uses a free automated Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser therefore confirms only an encrypted connection, not that the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you visited and typed in nothing, close the tab and clear the site from your browser history and autofill. If you entered a password, change it immediately on the real service and on every account that reuses it, then turn on two-factor authentication and review recent sign-ins. If you entered card or banking details, call your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. If you entered a wallet seed phrase, move your funds to a fresh wallet right away. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search logs for past visits, and reset credentials for any users who reached it.
