gov-rkiw.one is an impersonation phishing domain whose "gov-" prefix is built to look like an official government service to anyone who sees it in a text message, email or search result. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive and answering requests with a redirect, so a link to it can still lead visitors somewhere.
How the scam works
Impersonation schemes of this kind lean on authority. A message warns of an unpaid fine, a pending refund, a parcel fee or an account problem, and the link opens a page styled as an official portal. That page asks for identity details, login credentials or card data, and sometimes a small "processing" payment. Whatever is typed in goes straight to the operators. The page title currently shows a Cloudflare "520: Web server is returning an unknown error" message, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
Fifteen of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-12. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-scam project Chong Lua Dao. Google Safe Browsing lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, which means browsers using that service will show a deceptive-site warning. Spamhaus carries it on its DBL as a phishing domain, and it appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Together these independent verdicts back the classification well.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-04-24, about 170 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain that was registered and held before being used in a campaign. Its traffic resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada, which places a proxy in front of the real server and keeps the origin out of view. The Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser proves nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you reached this site from a message about a fine, refund or official notice, do not act on it. Contact the agency through its own published channels instead. If you entered card details or paid anything, call your bank right away to block the card and dispute the charge.
