PhishDestroy threat report
gov-dfkg.one is an impersonation phishing domain. Its "gov-" prefix is built to borrow the authority of an official government address, with a cryptic suffix and an unusual .one ending. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so the lure remains active.
Schemes like this rely on the trust people give anything that looks official. Victims arrive through a message about a fine, refund, benefit or verification request and are pushed to act quickly. The page then asks for identity details, account logins or a payment, which go straight to the operators. The page title showed a Cloudflare "520: Web server is returning an unknown error" message rather than an impersonation page, while we classify the domain as impersonation phishing based on its detections and behavior.
The classification does not rest on our judgment alone. On 2026-10-12, 13 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including Google Safe Browsing, ESET, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, CyRadar and alphaMountain.ai. Google Safe Browsing lists it under SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, which triggers warnings in major browsers. Spamhaus carries it on its DBL as a phishing domain, and three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-04-27, about five and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was held in reserve or used quietly before it surfaced. Traffic runs through Cloudflare, Inc., which places the visible IP in Canada and hides the actual origin server. The 520 error in the page title is consistent with that proxy setup.
Do not follow links to gov-dfkg.one, and treat any message that pointed you there as fraudulent. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on two-factor authentication. If you shared identity documents or ID numbers, watch for identity misuse and consider a credit freeze where available. If you paid anything, contact your bank or card issuer immediately to dispute the charge, and report the incident to the real agency through its official channels. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and email gateways and search mail logs for messages containing it.
