google-meet.global poses as Google's video-conferencing service, using a domain built to look like an official regional Meet address. Its page greets visitors in Russian with the title "Проверка доступа" ("Access check"), aimed at people who expect to join a call. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-13. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and redirecting visitors onward.
How the scam works
Fake Meet pages usually rely on a meeting invite sent by someone posing as a recruiter, investor or business contact. The victim clicks the link expecting a normal call and lands on a gate like this "access check" screen. That gate is where the theft happens: the visitor is asked to sign in with a Google account, or to install or "fix" something before joining. A Google login handed over here can give the operators control of email, documents and every service tied to that account.
Evidence
Five of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-26: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, so many security tools will still let the page load. Stronger signals come from elsewhere. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, and it appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's. The MetaMask and SEAL listings point to a crypto-focused audience. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through PDR Ltd. (PublicDomainRegistry.com) on 2026-08-12 and was caught the next day. That one-day gap fits a site set up for a quick campaign rather than any real service. It is hosted on RouterHosting LLC's network in the Netherlands. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a padlock, which says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a Google password on this page, change it right away. Then sign out all other sessions, review your recovery email and phone, and turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app or security key. If you downloaded or ran anything it offered, disconnect that device and scan it fully. Treat any passwords, browser sessions and crypto wallets stored on it as exposed, and move funds using a clean device. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the mail gateway and search logs for visits or invite emails containing it.
