How the scam works
The page carries the bare title "Loading", which suggests a placeholder or splash screen that shows before the real lure appears. Impersonation pages like this copy the look, wording and flow of a genuine brand. Victims typically arrive from a link in an email, an ad or a direct message. Once they believe they are on the real site, they are asked to sign in, verify an account or confirm a payment, and whatever they type goes straight to the operators. The usual losses are account credentials, personal identity data and payment details, which are then used for account takeover or direct theft.
Evidence
On 2026-10-11, nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as malicious, including Netcraft, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, CRDF, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and VIPRE. That is a modest count, but these independent vendors span phishing-focused feeds and mainstream endpoint protection. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the spam category. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, so other researchers have tracked it as well. Apart from PhishDestroy, no other major blocklist carries it yet, so many browsers and filters may still let it through.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-27 through Dominet (HK) Limited, 41 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short window between registration and active phishing is typical of throwaway scam domains. The site is hosted in Great Britain on the UFO Technologies Limited network. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password on fortuscout.com, change it immediately on the real service and on any other account that shares it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. Check your account activity and active sessions for logins you do not recognize. If you entered card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. Treat follow-up emails or messages that reference this site as further phishing attempts. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at DNS, proxy and mail gateways, and search their logs for users who visited it after 2026-10-07.
