How the scam works
USPS lures usually start with a text or email claiming a package is held, undeliverable or awaiting a small redelivery or customs fee. The link leads to a page styled like USPS that asks for a name, home address, phone number and card details to "release" the parcel. Victims lose their card data and identity details, which can be used for fraudulent charges and follow-up scams. The page title currently shows a Wix "ConnectYourDomain Error", a hosting error message rather than USPS content, while we classify the domain as USPS impersonation.
Evidence
On 2026-09-12, 11 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Google Safe Browsing, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That is a minority of engines, but it spans several independent vendors. Google Safe Browsing lists it under social engineering, so major browsers can warn visitors. Spamhaus DBL classifies it as phishing, and it appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-28 through Tucows Domains Inc. and was detected only three days later. That short gap is typical of disposable domains set up for a quick SMS or email campaign. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server.
