easycoins.fun is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as "Easy Coins · Free Coins, Gems", a giveaway site for free virtual currency. It targets players who want coins or gems without paying and borrows the look of a legitimate reward service to win their trust. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-27, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its phishing content live.
How the scam works
"Free coins and gems" generators follow a familiar script. The visitor picks an amount of currency, then is asked for an account username, login details, or a "verification" step before the reward is supposedly delivered. No currency ever arrives. Instead, the victim hands over account credentials that can be used to take over and resell the account, or is pushed into surveys, app installs and sign-ups that earn the operator money.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar, URLQuery and desenmascara.me. That count is low, so most browsers and security products will not warn visitors. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have linked it to malicious activity independently. PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through GoDaddy.com, LLC on 2026-05-20, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests a site that had time to collect traffic before anyone reported it. It resolves to 72.51.57.83 on the Dynu Systems Incorporated network in the United States. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted, so the padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the site is honest.
What to do
