duplicate-disabled-417560.invalid was a phishing page impersonating Dofus, the online role-playing game, and it targeted the game's players. Its French-language title, "Potion Petalium - Actualites - Unity - le Unity stratégique.", imitates a news post about an in-game item and the game's Unity edition. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-10. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11 and was still unreachable at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake game-news pages like this use a believable hook, such as a new potion, an update or a giveaway, to bring players to a lookalike site. The visitor is then asked to log in or claim a reward, and the account username, password and sometimes the email login are sent to the operators. With those credentials, attackers can take over the account, strip its characters, items and in-game currency, and reuse the password on other services. The French title suggests the bait was aimed at French-speaking Dofus players.
Evidence
Nine of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-08-21, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Fortinet, G-Data, Lionic, Phishing Database, SOCRadar and Sophos. That is a minority of engines, but it is a varied group of commercial and community feeds. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and detected Dofus branding on the page, which matches our impersonation classification. The domain appears in 16 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers were also tracking it, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-06-18, 53 days before PhishDestroy flagged it. It was hosted at 45.61.178.89 on the PONYNET network of FranTech Solutions in the United States. The page used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only meant the connection was encrypted. It did not show that the site was genuine.
What to do
If you entered your Dofus login on this page, change that password right away from the official site or launcher. Turn on two-factor authentication, and change the password on any other account where you used it. Also secure the email account linked to your game account, check it for unfamiliar login or recovery changes, and contact official game support if items or characters are missing. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP, and search mail and chat logs for links to it sent around 2026-08.
