coindecb.com is an impersonation phishing site whose page presents itself simply as "DEX", the look of a decentralized exchange where users trade from their own wallets. It targets crypto traders who arrive expecting a legitimate swap interface. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Fake DEX front-ends copy the familiar swap screen and prompt visitors to connect a wallet before they can trade. The connection itself is harmless, but the site then asks for token approvals, permit signatures or transactions that look like routine swap steps. These actually give the operator the right to move the victim's tokens, so a single careless signature can empty the approved balances without any further action from the victim.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 9 of 91 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as malicious, including BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That is a modest share, but it comes from several major vendors working independently. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's own, so wallet users with those protections may already see warnings.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through GoDaddy.com, LLC on 2026-08-27, about a month before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up shortly before a campaign. The site is hosted in Hong Kong on the Dimension Network & Communication Limited network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a padlock in the browser, which says nothing about whether the site is safe.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet to coindecb.com or sign anything it requests. If you already connected and approved tokens, use a token-approval checker to revoke every allowance granted to unfamiliar contracts, and move the remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. Never enter a seed phrase on any trading site. A real DEX never asks for it. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, and they can report it to the registrar and hosting provider to speed up takedown.
