Overview

codepsn.top is an impersonation phishing page that poses as a free PlayStation Network code generator and borrows Sony's brand to attract gamers. Its French-language title, "Code PSN Gratuit - Générateur de code psn gratuit (2024)", is aimed at French-speaking PlayStation users looking for free store credit. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-17. As of 2026-10-19, the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Free code generator pages promise valid PSN gift codes at no cost. Before any code appears, they put up a fake obstacle, such as a "human verification" step, a survey, an app install or a sign-in prompt. These steps can collect PlayStation account credentials, personal details or phone numbers, or push visitors into paid subscriptions and offer chains that earn money for the operator. No working code is ever delivered. Victims can lose control of their PSN account and its stored payment methods and purchased content, and their personal data may be exposed to later fraud.
