cheatlab.pro presented itself as "CheatLab," a storefront for a Roblox exploit called Seliware, under the page title "Seliware Cheat for Roblox | CheatLab." PhishDestroy classifies it as a gaming scam aimed at Roblox players, many of them young, who are looking for an edge in the game. We first flagged it on 2026-09-24. The site has been offline since 2026-10-16, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake cheat sites like this rely on the appeal of a free or cheap advantage in a popular game. A typical scheme asks the player to download an "executor" or loader, pay for a license key, or sign in with their Roblox account to "activate" the cheat. Each path carries a cost. Downloaded files in this niche often carry info-stealers that harvest saved browser passwords, session cookies and crypto wallet data. Payments buy nothing that works, and login prompts hand the account and its Robux or limited items to the operator.
Evidence
On 2026-10-06, VirusTotal showed 5 of 91 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from five unrelated vendors, which makes it meaningful. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity independently. Among blocklists, PhishDestroy currently lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameSilo, LLC on 2026-09-13, only eleven days before we caught it. That fits the short lifespan these operations plan for. It sat behind Cloudflare, with the edge address resolving to Canada, so the true origin server stays hidden. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gave it the browser padlock, which proves only that the connection was encrypted, not that the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you downloaded anything from cheatlab.pro, disconnect the device from the network and run a full scan with a reputable antivirus. Assume saved passwords and session cookies are compromised. From a clean device, change your Roblox password, turn on 2-step verification and sign out of all sessions. Do the same for your email, Discord and any crypto wallets used on that machine, and move wallet funds to a fresh seed if a stealer may have run. If you paid for a key, contact your card issuer or payment provider about a chargeback. Defenders should block the domain and look for past DNS queries to it on managed endpoints, especially devices used by younger family members or students.
