Overview

bet83043.com poses as Bet365 under the Chinese page title "365英国上市官网", roughly "365 UK-listed official website". The title leans on Bet365's British origin to look legitimate to Chinese-speaking gamblers. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-15. As of 2026-10-19 the host still responded, but the page's content was no longer resolving through DNS.

How the scam works

Fake sportsbooks like this one copy a trusted betting brand so visitors will register, log in and fund an account. Whatever goes into the forms reaches the operators: usernames, passwords, phone numbers and identity details. Deposits are the bigger loss. Balances may appear to grow, but withdrawals stall behind invented "verification", "tax" or "unlock" fees that only pull in more money. The "UK-listed" claim in the title is meant to make a stock-market-backed operator seem to stand behind the site.

Evidence

On 2026-09-23, VirusTotal showed 17 of 89 engines flagging the domain. Those engines included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. That is a meaningful spread of independent vendors, not a single outlier. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and recognized Bet365 branding on the page on its own. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameSilo, LLC on 2023-07-13, more than three years before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests a domain kept in reserve or rotated in, not one spun up for a single campaign. Its numbered name fits the disposable naming often used for clone gambling sites. It is hosted on Hong Kong Communications International Co., Limited in Hong Kong, behind a free automated Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock therefore proves nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a password here, change it on the real Bet365 account and anywhere else you reused it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you deposited money, stop sending funds, including any "fee" required to release a withdrawal; those payments are never returned. Contact your bank or payment provider right away to dispute the transfers, and keep screenshots and transaction references. Treat any follow-up calls or messages offering to recover your money as a second scam. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP and watch for similar numbered bet-style domains on the same network.
