How the scam works
The site borrows the look and language of a regional outdoor retailer, using the "Bell Tent Sussex" name and luxury glamping branding to appear local and trustworthy. Shops like this typically advertise premium tents at tempting discounts, take card or bank payments at checkout, and then ship nothing, ship a cheap substitute, or stop responding. Victims lose the purchase price. They also hand over their name, address, phone number and payment details, which can be reused for further fraud.
Evidence
On VirusTotal, 9 of 92 security engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-17. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Gridinsoft and LevelBlue. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, which independently matches our classification. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-16, about six months before PhishDestroy detected it. Fake stores often sit unused for a while or rotate through campaigns, so a gap like this is common. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in the United States, which is an odd choice for a business branding itself around Sussex.
