bdepot.shop poses as a hair-products store under the title "Shop Virgin Hair, Crochet Styles", aimed at buyers of wigs, bundles and crochet braiding hair. PhishDestroy classifies it as an E-Commerce Scam, a fake online shop that takes payment without delivering what was advertised. We first flagged it on 2026-10-11, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online with its storefront content live.
How the scam works
Fake hair shops lean on a market where premium virgin hair is expensive, so steep discounts on bundles or crochet styles look like a lucky find rather than a warning sign. The shopper adds items to the cart and pays by card or another method, and the order then never arrives, or a cheap item far below the listed quality turns up. The victim loses the purchase price and also hands over a name, delivery address, email, phone number and card details. Refunds tend to stall because the contact channels go quiet once the money is collected.
Evidence
On 2026-10-12, 10 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. That is a minority of engines, but it is a broad mix of established antivirus vendors and predictive domain-scoring services. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically identified the page as a fake shop, which matches our classification. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-28, about four and a half months before we detected it. A gap like that often means the domain was set aside before the storefront went up. The site is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in the United States and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is legitimate.
What to do
