bcktoys.shop is an e-commerce scam: a fake online shop presenting itself under the page title "Pop Culture" and, judging by its name, selling toys and fandom merchandise. It targets collectors and gift buyers looking for figures and licensed goods at attractive prices. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11. As of 2026-10-19 the storefront was still online and serving its full content.
How the scam works
Shops like this copy the look of a legitimate pop culture retailer, list popular or hard-to-find items below market price, and push urgency with "limited stock" or sale banners. The checkout collects the buyer's name, shipping address, email and payment details. The order is either never shipped or replaced with a cheap item unrelated to the purchase. Victims lose the money they paid, and the personal and card details they entered at checkout are also exposed.
Evidence
On 2026-10-12, VirusTotal showed 7 of 92 security engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, URLQuery and Webroot. That is a modest count, typical of new fake shops, but the vendors are independent of each other and agree on the verdict. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-28, about four and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That interval suggests a domain kept for a while before it went into active use, rather than one burned within days. The site is hosted in the US on the Malakmadze Web LLC network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, but the padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the shop is honest.
What to do
If you ordered from bcktoys.shop, contact your card issuer or bank right away to dispute the charge as a non-delivery fraud, and keep your order confirmation and any emails as evidence. If you paid by bank transfer, gift card or crypto, report it to the payment provider immediately, since recovery windows are short.
