How the scam works
The page title, "Tree Climbing Gear | Arborist Supplies | Bartlett Arborist Supply," is built to look like a specialist trade supplier and to appear in searches for professional equipment. Fake shops of this kind usually list in-demand gear below normal prices to prompt quick orders. The buyer pays at checkout, then receives nothing, receives a cheap substitute, or gets tracking details that never resolve. Victims lose the purchase price and also hand over their name, address, phone number and card details, which can be reused for fraud or follow-up scams.
Evidence
Thirteen of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-12. Those engines include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft, so several independent security companies reached the same conclusion. urlscan.io gave the domain a malicious verdict and specifically identified it as a fake shop. Spamhaus lists it in its Domain Block List as a spam domain. It also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-25, about four and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the storefront may have been set up and running for some time before it was flagged. The site was hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia. The cheap .shop extension and a name that echoes a well-known tree-care name fit the usual pattern of short-lived fake stores.
What to do
If you paid on this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and ask for a replacement card. If you used PayPal, open a "not received" claim through PayPal. Watch for phishing emails or calls that mention your order, and do not pay any "customs" or "shipping" fees that are requested afterward.
